Sports clubs and physical activity organisations across Scotland are set to share more than £130,000 thanks to National Lottery Awards for All Scotland.
Projects from Argyll and Bute to Moray will receive National Lottery funding, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund in partnership with sportscotland.
The funding comes from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland – a quick and simple way to access small National Lottery grants of between £300 and £10,000. The grants have been made possible thanks to National Lottery players, who raise £30 million each week for good causes across the UK.
In total, £131,784 is being shared between 23 projects across the country. The money will contribute to new floodlights and resurfacing courts at a Cupar tennis club, support much needed new equipment at various clubs and help increase engagement in girls rugby in Leith.

“This investment from The National Lottery will make a huge difference to clubs and communities across the country. The grants will help improve sporting opportunities as part of Scotland’s world-class sporting system for all.
“This support for sport and communities would not be possible without National Lottery players. I’d like to thank them for their contributions which are playing a critical role in supporting people, projects and communities during these challenging times.”
The 23 sport and physical activity projects set to receive grants are part of an overall 224 awards being made to voluntary and community groups in Scotland, totalling £9,159,036.
The National Lottery Community Fund’s Scotland Chair, Kate Still, said: “It’s great to see such a variety of projects being funded to help people as they continue to be affected by the pandemic.
“We know that even a small amount of money can really help to change lives and, as a funder, our priority is to ensure that National Lottery money continues to flow to charities, voluntary sector organisations and grassroots groups across Scotland.
