The hugely successful SprintFastest athletics event is gearing up for a spectacular return as the SprintFastest All‑Star Indoor Championship 2026 takes over the Glasgow International Arena (formerly Emirates Arena) on Saturday, October 3, 2026
The inaugural SprintFastest event, hosted at Grangemouth Stadium in March this year, brought together more than 160 young athletes from over 40 clubs across Scotland, drawing a crowd of 1,000 spectators and creating an atmosphere buzzing with energy, personal bests, and a shared passion for athletics. Building on that momentum, the 2026 indoor championship aims to elevate the experience even further, continuing SprintFastest’s mission to inspire participation in sport and provide a platform for Scotland’s rising sprint stars.
Supported by funding from sportscotland as part of the national Summer of Sport 2026 initiative, the event is recognised for its commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and strengthening pathways into athletics for young people across the country.
At the heart of the championship are the 200m races, spanning multiple youth categories and showcasing some of Scotland’s most exciting emerging sprint talents. But SprintFastest is about more than competition. The event is designed as a full‑day experience for athletes, families, and supporters, with entertainment, interactive activities, and attractions that ensure the excitement extends beyond the track.
The impact of SprintFastest has already been felt across the athletics community. Athletes, coaches, officials, event staff, and families have praised the event for its high‑quality delivery and inspiring environment and positive atmosphere.
With excitement building, families, friends, clubs, and supporters are encouraged to mark their calendars for what promises to be a thrilling Saturday of speed, entertainment, and unforgettable moments. Attendance is free for children under 18, making it an accessible day out for all.
