Sporting communities in Scotland will enjoy a cash boost thanks to The National Lottery Awards For All fund.
Clubs across the country, from Dumfries and Galloway up to Shetland, will benefit from 12 awards of National Lottery funding, distributed by sportscotland.
A total of 115 grants are being made to voluntary and community groups in Scotland, totalling nearly £800,000, with the awards issued by sportscotland coming to £71, 919.
The groups set to profit are:
- Edinburgh Athletics Club
- Edinburgh BATs Rugby
- Dumfries Cricket Club
- Lockerbie Wheelchair Curling Club
- The Dumfries and Galloway American Football Academy
- Cowdenbeath Martial Arts
- Physique and Power Barbell Club
- Orkney Cycling Club
- Orkney Islands Council
- Filsket Riding Club
- Bathgate ASC
- North Ayrshire Hockey Club
The money will go towards a range of projects such as facility improvements, extra sport programmes, coach and volunteer training and the purchase of equipment.

“The grants will help immensely in sportscotland’s aim to improve sporting opportunities in Scotland and build a world-class sporting system for all.”
