#GetOnBoard with sportscotland

Time to #GetOnBoard

If you're immersed in sport, our board wants to hear from you

Do you have the skills and the enthusiasm for sport to help build a world class sporting system for everyone in Scotland?

At sportscotland we are making up to four new appointments to our board and if you have an interest in sport and an energy for inspiring people to get active, you might be more qualified than you think.

The right candidates

If you've been on a board before, we want to hear from you.

If you've never been on a board before, but have a connection with sport, we want to hear from you.

Mel Young, Chair of sportscotland, says: "sportscotland is at an exciting stage as we continue to build a world class sporting system for everyone in Scotland.

"We are looking for people with energy and vision who can help us achieve all of our objectives. We work at all levels from schools through community sports hubs and onto the international stage. I have been on the board since 2008 and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

"It doesn't matter what your background is and whatever experience you have, we are looking for people with commitment and energy who can add value to our dynamic team. Please do get in touch."

Still not convinced?

Watch our videos with two existing sportscotland board members, Coral and David, whose enthusiasm for the project shines through.

They want you to know that this is not just another board, but an opportunity to get involved in building a system that puts sport at the heart of Scottish society, making a positive impact on people and communities and enabling Scots athletes to compete and succeed on the world stage.
