The Sunday Mail sportscotland Scottish Sports Awards recognise excellence and celebrate the heroes throughout Scottish sport.
Now in its 13th year, the 2019 ceremony will take place on 5 December at Glasgow’s Doubletree by Hilton, Glasgow Central.

This is your chance to applaud your favourite sporting stars and help recognise their dedication and achievements.
Chair of sportscotland, Mel Young, said: “It has been another fantastic year for sport in Scotland. Scottish athletes continue to shine on the world stage and there is terrific work being done by the sporting community across the country to increase the opportunities for as many people as possible to take part in sport.
“It is wonderful to have another chance to recognise such dedicated and hard-working people alongside Scotland’s elite athletes.”

Who won last year?
Last year’s event celebrated incredible success on the world stage and in local communities across Scotland.
Among the winners was Commonwealth, European, World and Olympic medallist Duncan Scott who was awarded the Scottish Sports Personality. The Stirling swimmer was applauded for his breath taking performances in the pool across the year.
Team United Sports was crowned Local Club of the Year following the introduction of a grassroots football programme in Broxburn offering young people with autism opportunities and support to play sport in a safe environment.
